Description of Action |
|
The current Interlocal Agreement for Building Code Services (ILA) between the City and Broward County was entered into on November 27, 2012 and will expire on September 30, 2014. Broward County has provided building code services to include; plan review and inspections for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and structural disciplines. For the past 2 years the City has paid Broward County approximately 34% of its building services revenue.
The proposed Interlocal Agreement, attached, is now before the City Commission for their consideration and provides for Building Code Services by Broward County for a 5 year term through September 30, 2019. The agreement may be terminated by either party upon ninety (90) day written notice. The proposed agreement indicates the Broward County rate for services has increased from 2012 by 1.04%.
